Luckyduck Shop Ride #27 - july 15, 2017

This week is a special edition of the #luckyduckshopride. Our pal Brandon is gonna lead us on a historical tour of Oakland based on A Cyclist's Guide to Oakland History, copyright 1976, written by the curator of the Oakland Museum. This week's ride will be a bit shorter than usual, but what it lacks in length it makes up for in points of interest - about 30 total. We probably won't stop for every single one, but it should be a fascinating experience! 

For instance, did you know that the Municipal Auditorium (now Kaiser Convention Center) has been used as not only as a hospital overflow area during the 1918 flu epidemic, but also wood-track bicycle races were held there in the 30's, and apparently from this website things got pretty rowdy...
